Dunstable Town defender Luke Pennell joined Norwich on trial in early January 2016.
The 19-year-old had already enjoyed trials at Championship Burnley and League One side Fleetwood, and Burnley were believed to be ready to make an offer for his services.
Norwich had been keeping tabs on Pennell's progress at Dunstable and took the versatile defender on trial so that they could have a look at him at close quarters.
Pennell was at MK Dons as a youngster.
On 29th March 2016, Luke signed for Dagenham & Redbridge on a two and a half year contract.
Pennell left Dagenham at the end of the 2018/19 season.
He later played for Braintree before joining Bedford Town in the summer of 2022.
