Raith had trials with several Football League clubs, including
Norwich, Luton, Coventry and Burnley before he came to local prominence
with a goal a game average for League of Wales side Cwmbran Town
for whom he has played as substitute in European football. He
joined Newport in October 2000 and was one of a large number of
the clubs talented youngsters who retained the Gwent Senior
Cup.
He spent a period on loan to Cinderford Town in 2001/02 and started
the 2002/03 season joining Merthyr Tydfil on a three month loan
period on 2nd September 2002.
In January 2004, he was one of six signings made by Barry Town
who were struggling at the bottom of the League of Wales. Other
signings included Gavin Allen, brother of former Norwich striker
Malcolm.
After spells at Llanelli, Cwmbran Town and Ton Pentre, Raith
joined Bridgend Town in the summer of 2007. After playing in Australia
and New Zealand, Raith returned to Bridgend in January 2011. He
later played for Taunton Town before joining Sherborne Town in
August 2013.
