Biography

Darren Plowman coached the goalkeepers at Norwich City's academy for four and a half years as well as at Wroxham FC.

On 7th June 2013, he followed manager Dave Batch from Wroxham to AFC Sudbury.

Darren said “Having worked with young goalkeepers from Grassroots to Elite level, the opportunity at an ambitious club like AFC Sudbury is too good to turn down and the next natural step for me to take on my coaching pathway. I am looking forward to starting pre-season training with the senior goalkeepers in the next few weeks but also hope to be able to use my knowledge and experience gained at Norwich City Football Club to put in place a Goalkeeper Development programme for all goalkeepers in the AFC Sudbury set up from junior to youth to senior players, providing a pathway through the club.”

Darren later moved to work for Norwich United. By 2023/24 he was goalkeeping coach for Wroxham.
