About three years ago, I appealed for help regarding the career and whereabouts of Neil Riley as a Youth team striker of the early 1980s. Neil was a member of the youth side that won the FA Youth Cup in 1983

Neil himself emailed me in early December 1999 to inform me that he was still in Norwich but working for Manpower rather than an electrical store as had been reported in a matchday programme. He played for Lowestoft before a knee injury ended his career. A newspaper article in April 2013 reported that Riley now works for Dalziel Ltd as a European meat trader.
