Former Norwich academy youngster Mark Roper joined Cambridge City's Academy in May 2002. Mark is a centre-back who has also played for Sudbury Town. He returned to Sudbury in June 2005, joing AFC Sudbury. He was loaned to Norwich United for a month at the end of December 2005. This became a permanent move at the end of January 2006. After a spell with Needham Market, Mark returned to Norfolk in October 2006 joining Diss Town. In December 2006, he was on his travels again, moving to Woodbridge Town
