Global Soccer Network was a website for young footballers who are seeking the opportunity to combine their career with a college degree in the USA. One profile on their site was of Robert Savage. Robert had a trial with Norwich aged 13 before joining Swansea City as a former YTS trainee with Swansea City from 1992 to 1994 after playing for the district schoolboy side. After he was released, he had trials with Peterborough and Cambridge. He later played for Dr Martens League side Fareham Town from 1996-1997.
