Scarborough Athletic striker Connor Simpson trialled for Norwich playing in a 4-0 defeat for the Norwich Under-23s to Crystal Palace on 1st February 2021.
Progressing from their youth team Simpson made his senior debut for Hartlepool as a substitute for Lewis Hawkins in a 1–0 defeat to Cheltenham Town on 29th April 2017. Simpson left Hartlepool to join Preston North End in January 2018 for a fee of £50,000. He made his only league appearance for Preston in January 2018 as a late substitute against Aston Villa.
He was then loaned by Preston to a number of clubs including Lancaster City (2018, 6 appearances), Hyde United (2018, 14 appearances and 8 goals), Carlisle United (2019, 6 appearances and 1 goal) and then Accrington Stanley on a season-long loan in 2019/20 but made just 2 appearances.
In 2020 he joined Cork City but returned to England to play for Scarborough Athletic.
On 23rd April 2021 he signed for Icelandic second tier side Kordrengir.
