16 year old left-back Aaron Smith trialled with Norwich in March 2018 playing for their Under-23s in a 3-0 defeat to West Ham and in a 1-0 win over Bury.
Mildenhall manager Dean Greygoose said "We’re delighted for Aaron as his attitude is spot on. He’s been training with our first team since he was still at school. He done well for our U18s and has done well for our first team as well. As a 16 year old, he was standing out in training against fully grown men. He has a lovely left foot, he is intelligent and athletic and he has a top class attitude. There’s also been interest from other pro clubs, which tends to happen when you’re in the first team at 16. It’s up to him how far he goes – I don’t want to say too much at this stage – but it’s a great opportunity for him. Even if he doesn’t get picked up by Norwich, he will learn from it, and it will push him even more to succeed.
On 12th December 2018 he joined Peterborough but moved on to St Neots Town on 1st July 2019.
Aaron joined St Ives Town at the beginning of August 2023.
