Biography

German striker Dennis Srbeny joined Norwich on 25th January 2018 from German third tier side Paderborn for £1.35million. He had scored nine goals in 15 matches for Paderborn. He signed a three and ahalf year deal with Norwich.

He played for junior sides Tennis Borussia Berlin (2008-2011) and FC Hertha 03 Zehlendorf (2011-2013). He then played senior football with Hansa Rostock (2013-15), making 20 appearances and 1 goal. He moved to Dynamo Berlin in July 2015. After 28 goals in 55 games, he moved to Paderborn in July 2017.

City’s head coach Daniel Farke said: “Dennis is a really talented and young striker. We won’t put too much pressure on him, but he’s full of potential. He’s in a really good rhythm and was probably Paderborn’s most important offensive player. We’re really happy to sign a striker full of self-confidence who has scored a lot of goals.”

Srbeny made his Norwich debut as substitute in the 1-1 draw at Derby on 10th February 2018. He scored his first Norwich goal in the 3-1 win over Aston Villa at Carrow Road on 7th April 2018. He finished the season with 14 appearances. The following campaign saw him make 20 appearances, scoring three goals, as Norwich won the Championship title and promotion to the Premier League.

On 8th January 2020 Dennis returned to SC Paderborn for an undisclosed sum. Paderborn had been promoted to the Bundesliga and wanted additional options up front. He had played eight times in the 2019/20 season, scoring once in the Premier League at Everton. Unfortunately Dennis' five goals for Paderborn were not enough to stop them being relegated to 2.Bundesliga in June 2020 following a 1-0 defeat to Union Berlin.

In the summer of 2023 he transferred to Greuther Furth. He had played 122 times in his second spell for Paderborn, scoring 34 goals.
