Biography

Bournemouth right-back Jack Stacey signed a three year contract with Norwich City on 31st May 2023, effective from 1st July 2023.

He was out of contract at Bournemouth after spending four years on the South Coast and making 98 appearances. He was signed from Luton in July 2019 for £4million.

He was at Reading as a schoolboy and youth, making his first team debut on 16th August 2014 against Ipswich. He had loan spells at Barnet, Carlisle and Exeter but made six appearances for the Royals before moving to Luton on 26th June 2017. He made 95 appearances for Luton including winning the League Two title.

He said "I'm really looking forward to getting started. It's a club whose ambitions match mine. One of the main things I spoke about with the head coach and with Stuart (Webber) is playing intense, fast, forward football, something I believe will suit my style of play and something that I can fit into. I'm really excited. I feel like I'm coming into my peak years, I've got experience from being around different clubs. I want to get back to the Premier League and this is the perfect club to do that."

Stacey made his Norwich debut on 5th Auguist 2023 in a 2-1 home win over Hull City on the opening day of the 2023/24 season, and was one of the star performers. He scored his first goal for Norwich in the 1-0 home win over Stoke on 16th September 2023.

Stacey made a total of 51 appearances in 2023/24 as Norwich finished sixth reaching the Championship play-offs, before losing 4-0 to Leeds.

In April 2025 Stacey won the Championship Community Player of the Season award for his exceptional commitment to volunteering with the Foundation's pan-disability football team and Realising Potential programme. Realising Potential is a weekly programme for children and adults with various disabilities and additional needs. Making use of The Nest’s facilities, the group, along with Jack, will play table tennis, table football, pool and make use of the interactive games wall in ‘The Box‘ as a means of light physical activity and socialising. The group will then spend any surplus time out on the 3G pitches, playing small-sided games of football, often led by Jack.

He finished the 2024/25 season with 44 appearances and two goals.
