Colin Suggett returned to Carrow Road in 2012 as part of Ewen
Chester's scouting network. His responsibility is his native
North East
As a player, Suggett began hs career at Sunderland, winning the
FA Cup twice. He moved to West Brom in July 1969 for a club record
fee of £100,000. He then joined Norwich for a £70,000
fee in February 1973. He was voted Norwich City player of the
year in 1975. He made 243 appearances for Norwich, scoring 29
times.
He moved to Newcastle United in August 1978 for whom he later
worked as a youth coach. Suggett also enjoyed a brief spell as
caretaker manager at the club, following Willie McFaul's departure.
He later had roles as scout for Portsmouth and chief scout for Ipswich
and Carlisle.
