Enfield goalkeeper
Daryl Trigg was "borrowed" by Norwich reserve team manager Steve
Foley for a friendly clash against Tottenham Reserves in October
1996. The Canaries won 2-1. Foley knew Trigg from their time together
at Colchester United.
Daryl moved onto playing for Wivenhoe Town in Division Two of the
Isthmian League (now sponsored by Rymans) and made 33 appearances
in season 1997/98 as the Essex side finished 6th. The June 1999
edition of
Team Talk magazine surprisingly reported that
Daryl had signed for Brighton and Hove Albion on a non-contract
basis with the option to purchase.
Daryl has since joined Harlow Town of the Rymans League and then
moved to Bishops Stortford in January 2001, followed quickly by
a move to Essex Senior League side Saffron Walden Town although
it was also reported by the
Non
League Paper that Daryl joined Hertford Town from Bishops Stortford
in March 2001.
