Jani Viander joined Norwich City's academy as lead goalkeeping
coach in the summer of 2012. Jani is a former Finnish international
goalkeeper who was capped 13 times for his country between 1999
and 2003.
He began his playing career with FinnPa (1995-95) and then played
for IIlves (1995), FF Jaro (1996), FC Jazz (1997), Kv Kortrijk
(1997-98), HJK Helsinki (1998-2001), Bolton (on loan in 2001-02),
Stoke City (2002-03 but no appearances), FC Midtyjlland (on loan
in 2003), Plymouth (2003), Brentford (2004), SC Ashdod (2004),
Aris Limassol (2004), RoPS (2005), FF Jaro (2006), AC Oulu (2007)
and HJK Helsinki (2008-10).
On 1st April 2014, he joined Brentford as their lead goalkeeping
coach for their Academy.
