East German Andreas
Wagenhaus played one reserve match for Norwich in January 1993 (C.
Palace, 3-1 victory) - he wore shirt no. 6 but was a defender. He
was then on the books of Dynamo Dresden. He joined Dresden from
Chemie Halle but began his playing career with junior sides TSG
Naumburg and RSK Freyburg. Andreas gained three full caps for East
Germany.
According to
SoccerWeb,
Andreas has also played in Turkey for Fenerbahce. Turkish Canary
fan Dr.Turgut Kundakçı informed me that Andreas played for Fenerbahce
from 1993-94 having been signed from Dynamo Dresden by Holger Osieck
who paid Dresden 900000 DM. Wagenhaus made 30 appearances in Turkey
scoring twice. He moved to Waldhof Mannheim after leaving Fenerbahce.
After two seasons at Mannheim, Andreas moved to Gossau in Switzerland
but
didnt stay long. He spent 1997/87 with a home-town club VfL Halle
96 before joining Austrian side FC Schwarzach where he played for
three years and where he is now Assistant Manager.
