Aston Villa's Academy defender Mason Watkins-Clark is the prime candidate to be the Watkins-Clark who played for Norwich's Under-18s against Manchester City on 16th March 2012 and who was on the bench for the Under-21s against Crystal Palace on 12th March 2012. The Bedford born central defender joined Villa from Ipswich as an Under-14. He has played for Ireland's Under-19s.

He subsequently joined Stoke City in April 2013 and went on to captain their Under-21s

At the beginning of August 2015, he was loaned to Conference side Wrexham for a month.

He was released by Stoke in early June 2016.
