Everton defender Charlie Wilson played all 90 minutes for Norwich City's Under-18s in their 2-0 home defeat to Fulham on 18th March 2023. He joined Everton at Under-11s having previously been at Blackburn Rovers.

On 11th June 2023 Everton reported that Wilson was one of 11 players that the club was releasing.

On 7th July 2023 Norwich announced that Charlie had joined their academy. In October 2023 he signed a new contract keeping him at Carrow Road until 2026 with the option of a further year. He been a regular for the Under-21s in the Premier League 2 this season. He said "I'm buzzing. I've only been here a short amount of time, but to get a new deal, it's a great feeling. I'm happy to get it done and get it signed. I feel like I've settled in really well here. All the lads are brilliant and the coaches are as well. I feel so welcome, and it's been a positive start. I'm enjoying it so far, it's a nice city and all the people are great. I've not met a bad person yet!"
