Very
few goals were scored by former Norwich players this weekend but a number
were involved in Promotion and Relegation battles. The only goalscorers were Peter Crouch for Liverpool in their defeat of Portsmouth, and by Watford's Matthew Spring in their 3-0 defeat of Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the Championship Play Off semi-final. Malky Mackay also played for Ade Boothroyd's Watford. Southend (Che Wilson, Spencer Prior, Mitchell Cole) were crowned Champions of League One following victory at Bristol City. Their Essex rivals Colchester (John White) secured the second promotion spot with a goalless draw at Yeovil. Chris Llewellyn's Hartlepool were relegated into League Two. They will be replaced by Adam Tann and Jason Demetriou's Orient who secured the third promotion spot with a win over Oxford United that saw Oxford relegated into the Conference. |
