Norwich continued their vein of good form with a 3-1 win over Southampton; Dean Ashton hitting a hat-trick.

In the Premiership, no former Canaries hit the back of the net but Jussi Jaskelainen kept a clean sheet for Bolton in their 4-0 win at Everton. Matt Jackson and Jimmy Bullard both played in Wigan's 3-0 win over Charlton.

No former Canaries scored in the Championship or League One. In League Two, Drewe Broughton scored a penalty to open the scoring for Rushden & Diamonds in their 3-1 win at Chester.
