the surprise favourites to land Aberdeen defender Phil McGuire.
McGuire's agent John Viola today said: "Phil has come
back into the Aberdeen team over the last few matches and has

Rumours - Norwich will look to tie up a loan move for Neil
Mellor in Jan. As Baros will be fully fit, and Liverpool will
have signed 1 or 2 new strikers

if Redkanpp will loan Crouch to them again, and may even

East Anglian rivals Norwich and Ipswich
are keeping tabs on South African teenager Dean van Staden.
Both clubs, along with Cambridge and Colchester, checked out
the 6ft 4in
defender when he guested for Ridgeons League side Needham Market
on Wednesday. The 19-year-old plays for the University of Pretoria
in the Golden League, the second tier of football in South Africa.

Norwich City have been linked with Hungarian
international midfielder Pal Dardai, according to reports
in Germany. 28 year-old Dardai currently plays for Hertha Berlin
in the German Premier League but has lost his place in the side
recently. While he might still have three years left on his current
contract, the defensive midfielder is not worried about moving
if it means he can regain a first team place. "If I get such
few opportunities to play as I do now then I'll move on next summer.
I'm too young to be on the bench, I'd prefer play football at
least two or three more years,"
According to the Football Rumours site, Nigel Worthington has
been told he has only £1.3m to spend in January. He is buying:

Craig Moore by Rangers' boss Alex McLeish. "Alex McLeish
spoke to me to see if I was interested," said Nigel Worthington.
"And I said 'Depending on the overall package'. And the overall
package was too expensive for Norwich City Football Club."
The fact that Moore will miss the first month of the season as
he jets off to Athens to play in the Australian Olympic team is
unlikely to impress either. It also part explains McLeish's desire
to offload the 6ft 1in former Crystal Palace stopper.

has been told he can leave Ibrox for a nominal fee as boss Alex
McLeish turns his attentions to luring Everton's James McFadden
north of the border. McLeish has already bagged Croatian international
hit-man Dado Prso from Champions League finalists Monaco hence
his willingness to offload MacLean. Sheffield Wednesday are reported
to have already agreed the £100,000 asking fee for a player
whose season-long loan spell at Scunthorpe United saw him finish
as the Third Division's top scorer with 25 goals.
It is also reported that Norwich are lining
