Biography

Born on 16/11/79, James is a Centre Back who arrived at Peterborough with then First Team Coach Paul Ashworth from Cambridge United. Spotted by Ashworth at Norwich City as a six year-old, he has participated in tournaments all over the word which provided him with ample experience before joining Posh. A talented defender who was a vital member of Peterborough's Reserve team and started the 1999/2000 season with involvement in the senior squad.

In February 2000, James joined Dr Martens League side Spalding United on loan, which was later extended until the end of the 1999/2000 season.

At the beginning of the following season, James again left on loan, this time to Ryman Leaguers St Albans City. James rejoined Spalding United on loan in November 2000 but this was cut short by a injury to his foot that ruled him out of football for four months. He was released by Peterborough at the end of the 2000/01 season. He transferred to Tonbridge in October 2001 and then moved to Sittingbourne in February 2002.
