Dutch
defender Jurgen Colin signed for Norwich on a three year contract
from PSV Eindhoven on 21st July 2005 for £263,000. "The
signing of Jurgen excites me a great deal, said City
                boss Nigel Worthington Premiership
clubs in this country have inquired about him and have made offers
which were way in excess of what we paid. For one reason or another
things didn't happen - and I am absolutely delighted that they
didn't. I feel I have got a real bargain here and I'm looking
forward to seeing him play with our players. We have seen Jurgen
play a few times and we always liked the look of him. He is a
very good defender - very quick and good in the air and on the
ball. He has been brought up the PSV way from the age of 12 so
he has had a good footballing education. At 24 he is a good age
and I see him as a good asset for this football club.
His career has seen him make 24 appearances for PSV, scoring
once. Previous seasons have seen him loaned out to NAC Breda (twice)
                and RC Genk.
Jurgen made his Norwich debut on 13th August 2005 in the 1-1
home draw with Crystal Palace in which he had a strong game defensively
but seemed to lack confidence going forward.
Jurgen's first season was marred by a lack of confidence. He
regained confidence in 2006/7 but lost his posiition to Andy
                Hughes under Peter Grant's managerial
reign. In July 2007, Jurgen joined Dutch giants Ajax on trial.
We've given Jürgen permission to join Ajax over
the next couple of weeks for a trial, said Grant.
I spoke to him at the end of the season and he said was
thinking about a move back to his home country, so of course we
wouldn't stand in his way. We'll see how his trial goes and take
it from there. Colin worked with current Ajax coach
Henk Ten Cate during a loan spell with NAC Breda in 2005. Reports
suggest he could earn a four-year contract with Ajax. Colin played
all 90 minutes of Ajax's 24th July 2007 friendly with Rangers
                which finished 1-1.
Jurgen made a permanent switch to Ajax at the end ofJuly 2007
in a deal that earned City approximately £70,000. Ajax technical
director Martin van Geel said of a deal for Colin on www.fcupdate.nl
at the weekend: We will round this off in the coming days.
Jurgen signed a one year contract with the Amsterdam side.
On 20th August 2008, Jurgen signed for Spanish side Sporting
Gijon on a one year contract. He made just 2 appearances before
returning to his homeland on 25th August signing for RKC Waalwijk

In January 2011, Jurgen signed for Cypriot side Anorthis Famagusta.
One of his teammates was Mark Fotheringham.
On 9th February 2012, Colin signed a three-year contract until
                2015.
Colin moved to Hapoel Tel Aviv F.C. on a two-year deal on 2nd
June 2013. He moved to Hapoel Ashkelon on 1st June 2015 for £175,000.
In 2016 he joined Israeli club Torpedo Kutaisi
