Biography

On 4th October 2024 Norwich City signed free agent Emiliano Marcondes on a contract until the end of the 2024/25 season following injuries to Onel Hernandez and Ashley Barnes.

The 29 year old Danish forward began his career as a youth team player with hometown club Hvidovre before transferring to the FC Nordsjaelland academy in 2010. He made his first team debut in April 2013. He made a total of 119 appearances, scoring 38 goals and was named the Superliga Player of the Year in 2017.

On 24th July 2017 he signed a pre-contract agreement with Brentford moving to London in December 2017. He made 13 appearances that season. A foot injury and an ankle ligament injury limited him to 13 appearances in 2018/19. In September 2019 he returned to Denmark on loan joining FC Midtjyiland where he made 12 appearances and scored twice as they won the Danish Superliga. He returned to Brentford in January 2020 and scored four goals in 30 appearances. The following campaign saw him score in the Championship play-off final win over Swansea. He played 97 games for Brentford scoring seven goals

On 3rd July 2021 he joined Bournemouth on a free transfer. He had loan spells at both FC Nordsjaelland and Hibernian during his time with Bournemouth for whom he played 24 games scoring 7 goals. He was released by Bournemouth on a free transfer on 5th June 2016.

He played 43 times for Denmark's youth teams scoring 10 goals between Under-17 and Under-21 level.

"He gives us other options up front," Norwich boss Johannes Hoff Thorup told BBC Radio Norfolk. "He can play as a 9, he can play as a 10, he can play a little bit on the left side. He has great intensity, a good pressing player, he loves to be involved, loves to be on the ball, wants to find good positions in the box to get in and score goals."

He made his debut for Norwich the following day as a late substitute in the 4-0 win over Hull City.
