Bristol
Rovers striker Ollie Mehew trained with Norwich in early 2014 and
was even linked by the media to a £50,000 move. That did not
materialise and in June 2014, Mehew signed for Blackburn Rovers.
He had also been interesting Reading. Spurs, Fulham and Everton.
In August 2015, he returned to Bristol Rovers. They loaned him to both Mangotsfield United and Shortwood United.
He was released by Bristol Rovers at the end of the 2015/16 season and joined Forest Green Rovers. He impressed in pre-season for Roverts but on 12th August 2016, he was loaned to Southern League side Mangotsfield United for a month. Mehew's father Dave is manager at Mangotsfield. The following month he was loaned to Salisbury City. He scored six in three starts for Salisbury before being loaned again to Mangotsfield.
In February 2017, he was loaned out again joining Dorchester Town.
At the beginning of May 2018 it was announced that Forest Green would not be renewing Mehew's contract. In July 2018, he trialled for Jerry Gill's Bath City in a win over Reading.
He then joined Yate Town where he played until November 2019 when he joined Bristol Manor Farm. He returned to Yate in the summer of 2020 where he stayed until October 2022 when he signed for Tiverton Town. He then moved to Weston-Super-Mare in February 2023 before joining Merthyr Town at the beginning of June 2023.
