Biography

On 26th June 2023 Norwich announced the signing of 19 year old goalkeeper Vicente Reyes from American side Atlanta United. He has signed a long-term deal at Carrow Road and will initially form part of the club's development and academy setup.

Born in Charleston, South Carolina, the 19-year-old has been part of Atlanta United's academy since 2016 after joining the club at Under-13s level. Reyes progressed through the academy and has played for the club's second team in the MLS Next Pro, as well as the USL Championship.

Internationally, the goalkeeper made his debut for the Chile under-17 side against the United States U17 on 7th October 2018. He has also played nine times for Chile's Under-20s side, keeping two clean sheets. He played in the South American Under-20 Championship in 2023.

On 14th October 2023 he was loaned to Braintree Town of the Vanarama National League South on a one month loan. He kept a clean sheet on his debut for Braintree Town, as the side drew 0-0 against Chesham United in the Emirates FA Cup. He kept a total of two clean sheets in four appearances for Braintree.

On 13th February 2024 he joined Forest Green Rovers on an emergency loan following an injury to Rovers' number one goalkeeper Luke Daniels. Reyes made his league debut for Rovers the same day in a 2-1 League Two win at Barrow. He kept his place for the following game which saw Crawley win 3-0. He remained at Forest Green until the end of season as first choice keeper but couldn't prevent them being relegated to the National League on 16th April 2024. He made 16 appearances for Forest Green.

Also in 2024 he played for Chile Under-23s in their pre-Olympics tournament.

On 2nd July 2024 he joined League One side Cambridge United on a season long loan. He said "“I am really excited to join the club. It’s another big step forward in my development as a player and I hope to help the team in any way that I can."

On 29th September 2024 he was called up to the full Chile international squad for their World Cup qualifier clashes with Brazil and Colombia in October 2024.
