19 year old French midfielder Melvin Sitti joined the Canaries from French side Sochaux on 28th January 2020. The youngster had made 13 appearances for Sochaux in the French second tier after progressing from their youth setup. He was immediately loaned back to Sochaux.
Sitti came through the youth ranks at CO Vincennes and Paris FC before joining Sochaux in 2017, spending the last two seasons with Sochaux's B team.
City head coach Daniel Farke said: "Melvin is a very exciting player. He's young, talented and we believe he has real potential. He's had some very good experience of first team football in France. We'll give him the time to further develop and an opportunity to impress. We're really looking forward to seeing how much further on Melvin can progress and we're all excited to welcome him to Norwich City."
Sitti made his competitive first team debut for Norwich in the Carabao (League) Cup first round clash at Luton on 5th September 2020 which Norwich lost 3-1. The Canaries had 15 first teamers missing due to international call-ups with a further two injured.
On 16th September 2020 it was reported that Sitti and teammate Danel Sinani could be heading to Belgium on loan. Het Nieuwsblad, one of the best selling national newspapers in Belgium, claim that Juliper League side Waasland-Beveren are close to sealing the loan signings of French midfielder Melvin Sitti and Luxembourg international forward Danel Sinani. Beveren were playing in their ninth consecutive season in the top flight, after narrowly avoiding relegation in 2019/20,. The loan was completed on 22nd September 2020
Sitti didn't make the matchday squad whilst in Belgium and the loan was cancelled on 26th January 2021 with Sitti returning to Norwich to be part of the Under-23 Development Squad.
