Former Port Vale midfielder Rhys Walters joined Norwich on trial in November 2024 playing for the Under-21s in their Premier League Cup defeat against Exeter on 20th November 2024. He played an hour before being replaced by Daniel Ogwuru.
He began his playing career at Port Vale joining them aged nine and made his first team debut aged 16 on 18th October 2022 against Wolves in the EFL Trophy. In March 2023 he joined Leek of the Northern Premier League on a work experience loan until the end of the 2022/23 season.
He made 11 appearances in League One during 2023/24 but Vale were relegated. He then turned down a new contract and trialled with a number of clubs during the latter half of 2024.
