Wolves' out-of-contract Welsh midfielder Carl Robinson is linked with the Canaries

Norwich are linked by Teamtalk with Northern Irish international midfielder Danny Sonner who had just been released by Premiership-bound Birmingham City. Sonner knows East Anglia from his time at Ipswich.

The Sunday People claim that Norwich and Burnley are competing for the signature of Darlington left-back Paul Hecklinbottom who is out of contract. He would act as understudy to Adam Drury. Rumours linking the Canaries with Scunthorpe's Andy Dawson also resurfaced.

The Sunday Mirror reports that Norwich would make a £2.5million swoop for Charlton's Mark Kinsella if they were promoted to the Premierhsip. Kinsella was included in the Republic of Ireland's World Cup squad two days later after this story broke.

Norwich manager Nigel Worthington admits he has watched Scunthorpe left back Andy Dawson with respect to signing him as possible cover for Adam Drury. This speculation arose egularly throughout the remainder of the season.

The Sunday media linked Manchester City's Scottish striker Paul Dickov with a move to Carrow Road. Allegedly Worthington had been closely watching Dickov despite his injury problems.

Teamtalk speculated that Aston Villa's French ace David Ginola was coming to Carrow Road on loan as he was out of favour at Villa Park.

Following the injury to Zema Abbey that will rule him out of the rest of the 2001/02 season, Norwich were linked with a £750,000 move for Blackpool striker Brett Ormerod who was scoring regularly for the Division Two side.

Norwich have been linked wth a trio of French players - possibly the Canaries are to follow the trend established at Arsenal, Liverpool and Fulham. Nicolas Bonnel, a defensive midfielder, was the first to be linked - currently with Monaco, Norwich are said to be competing with Charlton and Southampton for his signature.Elie Kroupi is an Ivory Coast international striker currently with French side Lorient. He is training at present with Southampton. The third Gallic link is Wagneau Eloi - also of Monaco and also a striker
