Football League World reproted that the Canaries are alongside Wolves, Crystal Palace and Burnley in monitoring Reading's creative midfielder John Swift's situation, with his contract due to expire next summer. The 26-year-old former Chelsea trainee had racked up seven goals and five assists in just 10 Championship matches during 2021/22 for the Royals

Real Betis midfielder William Carvalho was linked with a loan move to Carrow Road, with City reportedly in talks with the Spanish club according to Sky Sports. Carvalho, capped 68 times for his country, made 27 appearances in La Liga last season, scoring twice and registering three assists. The combative midfielder forged his career at Sporting Lisbon. He signed for Real Betis in 2018 for a fee of €16 million and has made 70 league appearances during his time at the Benito Villamarin.

Turkish outlet FotoMac reported that the Canaries had seen a bid worth €3m for Galatasaray striker Galatasaray striker Mbaye Diagne rejected, with Galatasaray holding out for an offer in the region of €5m.

Former England and Chelsea centre-back Gary Cahil has been linked to Norwich City with the Canaries believed to be keen to add another central defensive option. The Sun on Sunday report that Bournemouth are pushing to sign the free agent following his Crystal Palace exit, claiming the Cherries can offer the 35-year-old the financial package he wants. However, the report from the newspaper's transfer expert Alan Nixon adds that the Canaries could offer Premier League football

Spanish outlet El Desmarque report that Wolves, Crystal Palace, Watford and Norwich are interested in signing the Turkish international Okay Yokuslu. The former West Brom loanee looks poised to depart current employers Celta Vigo and return to the Premier League, with reports suggesting he would be available for around £5million.

The Sun reports that Norwich have submitted a major bid for Blackburn striker Alan Armstrong who scored 28 goals in the Championship in 2020/21. City's proposal is reportedly north of the bids made by Premier League rivals Watford and Southampton but has been knocked back by the Championship club as they hold out for more money for the ex-Newcastle United man. Whilst a specific fee isn't stated in the report, the bid is said to include add-ons that take the overall package closer to the Venky's valuation of their top goalscorer.

Scottish newspaper The Daily Record linked Norwich with Spurs young centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers. The USA international has entered the final 12 months of his Spurs contract after a series of Championship loans, making 26 appearances for Bournemouth last season. He has also had stints in the second tier with Sheffield United, Ipswich, Swansea, Stoke and Luton. The report states that the centre-back wants a permanent move this summer rather than another loan, suggesting Spurs are looking for around £5million for their academy product.

Nantes defender Jean-Charles Castelletto is the latest name to be linked in Norwich City's search for a central defender. The Cameroonian international has reportedly been the subject of an enquiry from the Canaries and Spanish side Celta Vigo as they both look to strengthen their defensive options ahead of the new season. Foot Mercato are reporting that both clubs have made tentative approaches to the 26-year-old's representatives
Football Insider claim the Greece international wonderkid Christos Tzolis is firmly on the Canaries’ radar and could follow Dimitris Giannoulis from PAOK to Carrow Road in a £10m deal. Norwich are later reported to have made two bids.
SkySports claim that Norwich, West Ham, Crystal Palace and Newcastle are all interested in Lille's Dutch defender Sven Botman. Norwich supposedly having watched him since he was a youth at Ajax.

Glasgow Live Sport report that Norwich, along with West Ham and a French club, are interested in Rangers' 19 year old forward Kai Kennedy. Kennedy is yet to play for the Rangers first team but spent 2020/21 on loan to Raith Rovers.

According to CBS Sports Norwich had a £10m bid for Werder Bremen's 21 year old American international striker Josh Sargent turned down. He was Bremen's top scorer last season with seven goals in 32 appearances in all competitions

Dutch outlet Voetbal had linked 26 year old Slovan Bratislava defender Myenty Abena to the Canaries but the Pink Un claim that City are not interested in the Surinamese international who his career in the Netherlands with Jong FC Utrecht. He went onto play close to 40 games for De Graafschap before signing for Spartak Trnava in 2019

The Pink Un reported that Norwich City are set to sign talented youngster Liam Gibbs from local rivals Ipswich Town, after the midfielder turned down a contract offer from the Tractor Boys. By 19th July it was reported that Gibbs had singed but the sticking point was the level of compensation to be paid with City and Ipswich in discussion rather than going to a tribunal. He has been at Portman Road since he was eight. The central midfielder has only made four senior appearances for Town but was a key part of the under-18 team which reached the FA Youth Cup semi-finals in 2020/21.
