Yemi is a forward from London who was originally on schoolboy
terms with Millwall. Yemi came to Norwich on trial and was then
offered YTS terms. "Another winger with lots of pace, he has
great enthusiasm for the game but it is too early to tell whether
he has the necessary talent". (Pink Un 12th September 1998).
He was released at the end of the 1998/99 season and joined Southend
on 2nd June 1999. He made his first team debut on the 7th August
1999 in the 2-1 defeat of Plymouth. Yemi was transferlisted towards
the end of November 2000 having made only 3 appearances for The
Shrimpers in 1999/2000. Yemi left Southend in January 2001, his
contract cancelled by mutual consent and was replaced by Tes
Bramble.
Yemi initially joined Chesham of the Ryman League but moved to
their rivals Harrow Borough in the spring of 2001. After a spell
with Dulwich Hamlet, Yemi joined Enfield and came on as substitute
in their 22nd September clash with Maidenhead. By the end of October,
Yemi had moved again, ironically joining Maidenhead. Yemi moved
to join Welling on trial in January 2002
In February 2003, the Non-League
Paper website reported that Yemi had signed for Ford United,
who had also recently acquired fellow former Norwich youth Julian
Edwards. However this stay was not for long as he was released
during the first few days of March 2003. By 16th March, he had
found a new club, making his debut alongisde Victor
Fayenwo, for Hampton & Richmond Borough against Hitchin
Town in a Ryman League clash.
By 2018 he was a coach with Beckenham Town.
