Midfielder Morgan Fielding left manchester United's youth team
to join Norwich City in 1990 after being approached by Gordon
Bennett at the Canary Cup. He played alongside Keith
O'Neill, Mark Scott, Jamie
Cureton and Justin Harrington
before leaving Norwich in the summer of 1991 to join Darlington.
He turned down a professional contract in 1993 in order to pursue
further education and played in the Northern League for Shotton
Comrades and Seaham Red Star before retiring due to injury in
2001
