Scott Snowling was
a trainee professional at Norwich at the same time as
Ade
Akinbiyi,
Deryn Brace,
Jamie Cureton,
Andy Johnson,
Andy Marshall and
Glyn Roberts. Whilst all of them went on to make league
appearances, not necessarily for Norwich, Scott suffered injury
problems and drifted into Norfolk's non-league football scene with
Wroxham - the popular destination for many ex-Canaries (
Peter
Mendham,
Jon Rigby,
Mark Crowe etc.).
In September 1998, Scott joined Anglian Combination side Caister
in an attempt to regain his fitness. Obviously achieving his goal,
he joined Gorleston of the Eastern Counties League Premier Division
in November 1998. In the summer of 2000, he returned to Trafford
Park as Wroxham attempted to regain the Jewson Eastern Counties
League title that they narrowly lost to Histon in 1999/2000.
