Transfer guru Alan Nixon reports that Norwich City are rivalling recently relegated Luton Town for the loan signing of Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis O'Brien. City are in the race to sign the 25-year-old this summer, but Forest are holding out for a permanent deal before sanctioning another loan exit for the former Huddersfield midfielder.

Reports from Poland linked Norwich and Derby with Arka Gdynia winger Olaf Kobacki who had scored 13 goals in the Polish second division. It then appeared that Sheffield Wednesday had pipped City to his signature. He began his career in the academy of Lech Poznan before joining Italian side Atalanta in 2017 but failed to make a senior appearance for the Serie A club, eventually returning to Poland in 2022 to join Arka Gdynia

Brazilian outlet UOL claim Norwich City are interested in signing Palmeiras' left-back Vanderlan this summer, with contact already made to establish conditions for a move. The report adds that the Palmeiras board would consider offers for Vanderlan this summer and would be willing to sell the young full back should an acceptable proposal be made. The defender has previously been linked with a move to Chelsea. The defender is contracted to Palmerias until December 2027 and has made 64 appearances for the club since head coach Abel Ferreira promoted him from the academy side.

Reports suggest that Liverpool midfielder Bobby Clark is a loan target for Norwich although they would face competition from Austrian giants RB Salzburg and Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.. Clark, who is the son of former Norwich Assistant Manager Lee Clark, made 12 appearances for Liverpool in 2023/24 scoring once and claiming two assists. He's also appeared for England's under-20s.

According to French football outlet, Foot Mercato Norwich City is one of the clubs reportedly keeping tabs on left-sided defender Moussa Diarra, as he prepares to officially leave Toulouse. The 23-year-old, who can operate on the left side of central defence or at left-back, is a free agent at the start of next month.Diarra is attracting interest at home and abroad, with City's Championship rivals West Brom also linked.

Football Insider report that Norwich are amongst a number of clubs interested in Bournemouth's Danish attacking midfielder Emiliano Marcondes who is due to leave Bournemouth in the summer. He had been on loan at Hibernian. He had worked under Norwich manager Johannes Hoff Thorup at Nordsjaelland

According to reports from Denmark, Norwich are interested in signing Nordsjaelland left-back Martin Frese who worked under Johannes Hoff Thorup since 2015. Frese became a regular playing 29 times last season. He is available on a free transfer.

It was reported that Pascal Jensen had travelled to Norwich for talks whilst the Canaries had a work pemit for Johannes Hoff Thorup approved.

The Pink Un report that Norwich City have held talks with former Reims and Beerschot boss Will Still over their head coach vacancy, with the 31 year old visiting Colney. Sporting director Ben Knapper has had dealings with Still previously when he was Arsenal's loans manager, with former Gunners talent Folarin Balogun playing under Still during the 2022-23 season.

Bulgarian outlet Gong report that Norwich are in the race to sign Levski Sofia's Panama international left-sided central defender Jose Cordoba, with Cordoba favouring a move to the Championship over the Scottish Premiership despite agreeing a contract with Rangers. The report adds that Norwich have made an offer similar to Rangers, reported to be around €3.2m. Cordoba has made 10 international appearances for Panama and made 25 league appearances in Bulgaria in 2023/24, as well as making six appearances in the Europa Conference League.

The Pink Un report that Norwich City are interested in FC Nordsjaelland's Johannes Hoff Thorup. The 35-year-old is one that Norwich are considering as David Wagner's successor, but it's understood he would require a work permit and discussions at this stage are not at an advanced stage. A manager will only be granted a GBE if they have managed a club in a [Band 1-5] league for [24 months consecutive or 36 months total]. Thorup has 16 months in total, meaning Norwich would likely have to make their case to an exemptions panel should they wish to hire him. Thorup, who has been in charge of the Danish side since January 2023, is one of the highest-rated young coaches in Europe, known for an attractive playing style and development of young talent.

According to The Sun former AZ Alkmaar boss Pascal Jansen is being targeted by Norwich to be their next head coach. Jansen managed AZ for four years between 2020 and January 2024, but was sacked after 162 games in charge of the Dutch club, winning 94 and boasting a 58pc win ratio. Known for playing attractive, attacking football, AZ are known for their development of young players and Jansen has a background in academy football in the Netherlands, having previously worked at Sparta Rotterdam, Vitesse and PSV in youth coaching roles.

Norwich are reported to be interested in Swedish winger Niclas Eliasson, according to a report by Swedish outlet Fotboll Direkt which says Eliasson features on the Canaries transfer shortlist as well as PSV and Nantes and Brazilian side Gremio. It is added that it will cost between £3.4m to 4.3m to secure his services, with the 28-year-old currently playing his club football for Greek outfit AEK Athens. Eliasson previously played in England with Bristol City

Belgian outlet Nieuwsblad report that Norwich are among the clubs monitoring on-loan Royal Antwerp midfielder Mandela Keita ahead of the summer transfer window. The defensive midfielder is expected to be 'hot' in England this summer after impressive performances for the four-time title winners.  Keita has spent the season on loan at Antwerp from Oud-Heverlee Leuven, with there being an obligation to sign him permanently if certain conditions are met. That was the same last season, with the buy option proving too rich. That re-negotiated buy clause is reported to be around €7million, but if Royal Antwerp don't activate it, Keita is expected to be moved on given the growing levels of interest. A host of English clubs are supposedly monitoring him, according to the report, including Championship rivals Leeds United and Blackburn Rovers, as well as Nottingham Forest and West Ham.

According to the Daily Record Norwich are among a number of clubs ready to step up their interest in 17-year-old Queens Park youngster Aiden McGinlay. The teenager's performances for the Queens Park U18s side have attracted attention from Norwich, Ipswich and Celtic. McGinlay would be available for a small training compensation fee that would be split between Queens Park and Partick Thistle, where he made his name before moving to the Scottish Championship side. He spent a two-week trial period at Ipswich prior to joining Queens Park, and Town have retained their interest in him since his move last summer. McGinlay is a Scotland U17 international and is highly rated north of the border.

According to transfer guru Alan Nixon, Norwich are hoping to sign QPR midfielder Chris Willock whether they’re promoted or not. The 26-year-old, who came through the Arsenal academy system when Canaries sporting director Ben Knapper was their loan manager, is out of contract this summer and available on a free transfer.

The Guardian suggest that Arsenal's assistant manager Carlos Cuesta could be moving to Norwich in the summer of 2024 to become their new manager. Carlos Cuesta, at the tender age of 28, has already carved out a reputation as one of football’s most promising young coaches. His polyglot abilities, speaking six languages, and a stint at Juventus before joining Arsenal in 2020, underline his diverse and rich footballing pedigree. “The 28-year-old…is rated as one of the world’s best young coaches,”

Norwich were linked with a move to Celtic winger Mikey Johnston who eventually joined West Brom. The Canaries had been interested in him as a potential replacement for Jon Rowe. They had been interested in him a few years earlier.

According to French outlet L'Equipe, Norwich have made a bid of €2.5m for Sporting Gijon central midfielder,Jonathan Varane, half-brother of Manchester United defender Raphael. Varane is also a target for QPR, with the report claiming the relegation-threatened side are pushing for the Frenchman to join on an initial loan deal with an option to buy. Spanish clubs Cadix and Getafe are also interested in signing him this month.

Norwich City are interested in young Motherwell defender Max Willoughby, according to reports north of the border. The Canaries are keen to add Willoughby to their youth ranks, state the Daily Record, but face competition from Premier League Bournemouth and Scottish giants Rangers, who Willoughby's grandad Alex played for in the 1960s.

The Sun claim that Norwich are one of 10 clubs to have watched Bromley's 19 year old midfielder Ben Krauhaus who has impressed for the National League high-flyers. Krauhaus has played 28 matches in all competitions this season, scoring on five occasions. He can operate as either a central midfielder, where he has predominantly featured throughout this campaign, or out wide. Norwich are said to have watched him twice. Leicester, Cardiff and Hull are also said to be interested. City have a track record of dealing with Bromley, having moved to sign young right-back Kellen Fisher from the non-league outfit in the summer.

Teamtalk report that Norwich are hoping to hijack the loan of Wolves right-back Dexter Lembikisawho is on loan at Rotherham and scored against City. The Jamaican international who has played for Wolves' first team had played 25 times for the Millers at the time of the report. West Brom, Ipswich, Middlesborough and Blackburn are also mentioned in the report as having 'held talks.' Norwich's interest was dismissed by the Pink Un as the Canaries have Jack Stacey and Kellen Fisher as their right-backs 

The Daily Record are reporting that Norwich are monitoring Dundee United teenager Lewis O’Donnell. The midfielder has impressed whilst on loan at Scottish League One side Kelty Hearts and is expected to earn a move to England in this window. 

Rumours on X(Twitter) link Norwich with Canadian striker Woobens Pacius whose contract with Forge FC had expired. He has a 1 in 3 ratio in the Canadian Premier League. Burnley were also linked.

Teamtalk report that Norwich are one of a number of Championship and League One sides watching Aldershot midfielder Josh Stokes who has impressed in the National League after joining from Sudbury in Summer 2023. Ipswich, Charlton, Derby and Sunderland have also been keeping tabs on the 19-year-old. A fee of £1million is reportedly the valuation for the young star.

Norwich City are among the clubs reportedly displaying interest in young Reading striker Caylan Vickers, but it appears Real Madrid are leading the race.  Vickers, 18, turned professional with the Royals in July and has made 11 appearances for the League One strugglers this season. According to a report in the Sun, Norwich are among a host of teams who have sent scouts to run the rule over the highly-rated attacker ahead of January. Vickers impressed in a 5-2 win over Arsenal's U21 side in the EFL Trophy, with the Gunners supposedly keen on adding him to their academy side. Scottish champions Celtic and Championship leaders Leicester have also watched him in recent months, the report adds. It appears Real Madrid are leading the race and want to nurture Vickers in their B Team, Castilla, managed by Raul, with a view to eventually developing him into their first-team squad for a La Liga title challenge in future campaigns. Reading, who are in the midst of ownership issues, want £1million for Vickers, plus a percentage of any future sell-on.

The Pink Un report that Norwich City are among a host of clubs monitoring young Colchester United forward Bradley Ihionvien. Burnley and Crystal Palace are also monitoring Ihionvien, who has been pushing for a spot in Colchester's first-team squad after being a prolific scorer for the club's under-21 side last season.

Sky Sports claim that Norwich are front-runners to sign Bournemouth forward Jamal Lowe. They report that the Canaries are closing on a potential loan deal for the 29-year-old, although the Cherries would prefer a permanent departure.

According to Brazilian TV station Globo Norwich have been beaten to the signing of Real Madrid's Brazilian forward Reinier Jesus who will be joining Italian side Frosinone for a season-long loan. The under-23 international came through the ranks at Flamengo before joining Real in a £26million transfer in 2020. He's spent time on loan at Borussia Dortmund and impressed while with Girona, but hasn't yet appeared for Los Blancos' first team.

According to transfer expert Pete O'Rourke, Norwich are offering a medical to Man City youngster Daniel Ogwuru. The 18-year-old has impressed at youth level, scoring 16 goals in 41 appearances for the Citizens' development sides, but has not yet played a single first-team game in his career. The Premier League champions signed Ogwuru from Bolton Wanderers when he was just 14 for £100,000.

Reports in Czechia had credited the Canaries with an interest in Sparta Prague striker Jan Kuchta. The 26-year-old is permitted to depart the current champions despite converting a season-long loan move from Lokomotiv Moscow into a permanent deal earlier this summer. Norwich later denied any interest.

Norwich have been linked with a move for Venezia striker Joel Pohjanpalo. The Finland international, who is an international team-mate of former Carrow Road favourtie Pukki, scored 19 goals in Serie B last term and is the subject of speculation linking him with clubs across Europe. Tutto Mercato (via Sport Witness) suggest that Pohjanpalo is of interest to Cagliari, Leeds, Blackburn Rovers and Norwich.

The Pink Un reported that Benfica's teenage left-back Guilherme Montoia was to join Norwich's development squad. The 19-year-old has left the Portuguese side after a 13-year association and work is ongoing to conclude a deal that would see him link up with Alan Neilson's under-21 group.  The Portugal under-20 international made 29 appearances for Benfica's youth side last season - scoring on two occasions. Montoia has spent 13 years with Benfica having progressed through the ranks after joining from GD Coruchense in 2010/11. He signed his first professional deal with the club back in 2020 aged just 16.

According to Barry Landy of the Irish Sun Norwich have beaten West Ham and Crystal Palace to the signing of Drogheda United's Emmanuel Adegboyega. The 19-year-old has spent time in numerous Irish and Northern Irish academies during his career and he left Drogheda at one point to join league rivals Dundalk, but he made the move back to United at the start of 2023. Adegboyega never made an appearance for Dundalk but upon returning to Drogheda, he was immediately thrust into action in Ireland's top flight. The teenager has played 24 times in all competitions so far in the 2023 season, scoring once and also notching an assist. He trialled with Blackpool earlier in 2023.
Drogheda defeated Sligo Rovers in the FAI Cup last weekend and despite picking up a first minute booking, Adegboyega was watched by Norwich scout Mariela Nisotaki and was suitably impressed, with a deal now seemingly in place to see him join City.

Norwich and Watford are interested in signing Sporting outcast Rafael Camacho. The 23 year old winger joined Liverpool in 2016 and made two appearances before moving back to Portugal to sign for Sporting in a deal woth £7million. He had spent the 2022/23 season on loan to Greek side Aris.

Scotland’s Daily Record  suggests that City have joined Celtic, West Ham, and Forest in trying to either buy or bring in on loan Portuguese winger Carlos Borges from Manchester City. A price tag of £11milion has been mentioned.
